My last few genealogy research projects have been wide in scope but always seem to gain the most information in military records. Many of our veterans of the Revolutionary War, War of 1812 and the Civil War submitted paperwork to receive a pension if they were fortunate enough to survive. Some of the information found in a veterans pension packet can be very insightful. There will probably be personal information about the soldier and his family such as birth, marriage and death certificates which give researchers great leads about those hard to find family members. But sometimes you will find amazing items such as letters written home while the soldier was on the front or testimonies of the soldier of what it it was like while he (or she) was in the service.
During the summer, I am offering discounts for my research work especially if some of the work involves military research. Please mention that you are interested in whether or not your ancestors were in any of the early wars our country was involved in. I will also give discounts to any veterans or any men or woman serving our country presently. All of my estimates for research inquiries are free. Just give me some information to get started such as names and approximate dates and places your ancestors lived in. It need not be too involved but enough information to give me a head start. I will get back to you within a day or so with an estimate for further research and possibly creating a "family book"
I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully working with you. Just email Ronald (Ron) Kolb at firstname.lastname@example.org
Happy researching Ron
